Jumping to Conclusions- Original
December 18, 2008

Disclaimer: Julian and Noel belong to themselves.

Ship: Julian/Noel

--Jumping to Conclusions--
Noel leaned against the counter, most of his weight on the balls of his hands, and watched Julian rifle through a drawer in the kitchen. “What you doin’?” he asked, abandoning his perch and walking over to see as Julian slammed the drawer shut and opened another one.

After rummaging through the contents, he exclaimed in satisfaction, grabbing ahold of something inside it and holding it up triumphantly so Noel could see it.

Noel’s eyes widened in fright when he realized that Julian had brandished a pair of scissors and automatically stepped back.

Julian advanced and Noel stumbled back, trying to find his feet so he could flee.

“Noel,” Julian sighed, taking another step forward.

“No! Get away!” he shrieked, running to the living room.

Julian rolled his eyes and followed.

There was a brief standoff around the coffee table then, as luck would have it, Noel tripped over one of his glittery multi-colored socks. This gave Julian enough time to get halfway over to the other side.

Noel quickly recovered his balance and noticed Julian was significantly closer again with the scissors. His self-preservation reflex kicked in again and he jolted backwards- a bad move on his part, as the couch was behind him and all he succeeded in doing was flopping down onto it as gracefully as inhumanely possible. He blinked, confused as to why his perspective had so suddenly been lessened by 4 feet. Then he remembered the impending doom and made to get up, but Julian already had him blocked.

They tussled for a bit until Julian managed to pin his hands.

Noel stared at the scissors, unconsciously trembling like a terrified kitten.

“Noel.” Julian admonished, drawing his attention. “I just wanted you to cut my tag off.”

He blinked again, sorting this new information out, and stopped trembling almost immediately. “Oh.”

Author's Comments

I like this one better than the drabble. He freaks out more in it.

Was kissing in my head, but I got bored and didn't write it.

If you've followed my link from ffnet, note that this is Julian/Noel, not Howard/Vince. This is intentional and this is how it was supposed to be. I had to switch the names on ffnet because RPS is not allowed there. I feel less guilty, though. Noelian is almost cannon slash. -_-

I think ti would have changed it kind of, this way it's funny. Kisses would make it cute.

*can't stop laughing* This is great! I love this way more than the one I read on ff.net, though that one was good too...I saw something that sort of resembled RPS on ff.net once, I didn't know that it was banned...Hm...well, this is awesome and you keep on writing!

It's in the submission policy guidlines thing that we're not allowed to have real people in our fics. It changed quite a while ago... like 4 years... but when I had started posting on there I had already stopped writing RPS. Then, when I posted one of my Boosh fics, someone told me that it wasn't allowed.

I'm glad you like it :D

Yep! You're a really awesome writer and I'd like to read more of your fiction! I've checked you out on FF.net, and I think they rock, especially with how in-character they all are! Keep it up! ^_^

Thank you ^-^

That's one of the things I work hardest on, keeping them in-character, because a lot of fics I've read were excellent but were completely ruined by being out of character.

I understand your pain. And that's one of the things I try my best to do also. Especially when writing for tv shows and anime. For some reason, trying to keep characters in-character is hardest for those two for some reason for me. I hope someday when I have some of my stuff published that people, if they write fanfiction for it, they'll try to keep it in-character.
